The election was actually won by Okonjo-Iweala, the candidate from Nigeria.
However, due to the US elections and the ambiguity in their result, her appointment was postponed.
In general, this is beneficial for the United States, since there is no approved candidate yet, the WTO is in a state of inaction.
And this situation will last for a very long time. Since the conflict over the elections in the United States has just begun and will last, at best, until January 20 - and possibly longer.
One way or another, this is already the defeat of the South Korean candidate - although, of course, Great Britain and South Korea will certainly try to use the time that has appeared in their favor.
But if there is no consensus even after the story with the US president is resolved, the election procedure will be started again from scratch.
